The Classic Tasting
£35 per guest · Approx. 1–1.5 hours · 4 curated single malts
A welcoming introduction to the world of Scotch, with four carefully selected drams that showcase the diversity of regions, styles, and character. Each whisky is chosen not just for quality, but for the way it helps build a broader understanding of what makes Scotch so special.
This isn’t an off-the-shelf flight. Every bottle has been chosen with intention - no supermarket blends here, just honest, characterful malts that represent the very best of their kind.
The Signature Tasting
£95 per guest · Approx. 2–2.5 hours · 6 rare and exceptional whiskies
Our most refined offering. Six standout whiskies - rare, limited, sometimes no longer available - poured with care and context. Each dram has a story, whether it’s a closed distillery, a single cask bottling, or something quietly legendary.
This tasting is about more than flavour. It’s about time, craft, and the people behind the whisky - a rare opportunity to explore the upper end of what Scotch can be.

We adapt every tasting to suit your level of knowledge and interest - from relaxed and informative for beginners, to focused and in-depth for seasoned enthusiasts.
Using sensory items to bring extra depth to the experience, helping you connect with whisky in a way that goes beyond the glass. Alongside the drams, you’ll get insight, conversation, and the kind of stories that only come from people who’ve spent years inside the world of Scotch.
Your Hosts
Tastings are led by John MacDonald, one of the most respected figures in the whisky world - and by Liam, founder of tuigsear, with over five years in the industry and experience hosting high-end tastings at Balblair Distillery.
Together, we offer a level of insight and warmth that’s difficult to find elsewhere - professional, knowledgeable, and always grounded in genuine hospitality.
Where We Host
We bring the tasting to you - whether that’s in a private lodge, luxury hotel (with prior arrangement), or a comfortable Airbnb. If there’s enough space for everyone to sit and enjoy, we’ll do the rest.
We also have exclusive access to The Carnegie Whisky Cellars tasting room in Dornoch - a beautiful, atmospheric venue perfect for private sessions when arranged in advance.
