Hosted by experts with deep roots in the industry, our tastings offer rare bottles, immersive storytelling, and genuine hospitality - all in an atmosphere that’s relaxed, engaging and quietly unforgettable.
The Classic Tasting
£35 per guest · Approx. 1–1.5 hours · 4 curated single malts
A welcoming introduction to the world of Scotch, with four carefully selected drams that showcase the diversity of regions, styles, and character. Each whisky is chosen not just for quality, but for the way it helps build a broader understanding of what makes Scotch so special.
This isn’t an off-the-shelf flight. Every bottle has been chosen with intention - no supermarket blends here, just honest, characterful malts that represent the very best of their kind.
The Signature Tasting
£95 per guest · Approx. 2–2.5 hours · 6 rare and exceptional whiskies
Our most refined offering. Six standout whiskies - rare, limited, sometimes no longer available - poured with care and context. Each dram has a story, whether it’s a closed distillery, a single cask bottling, or something quietly legendary.
This tasting is about more than flavour. It’s about time, craft, and the people behind the whisky - a rare opportunity to explore the upper end of what Scotch can be.
Tailored to You
We adapt every tasting to suit your level of knowledge and interest - from relaxed and informative for beginners, to focused and in-depth for seasoned enthusiasts.
Using sensory items to bring extra depth to the experience, helping you connect with whisky in a way that goes beyond the glass. Alongside the drams, you’ll get insight, conversation, and the kind of stories that only come from people who’ve spent years inside the world of Scotch.
Your Hosts
Private tastings are hosted by Liam Urquhart or John MacDonald, depending on the experience, location and availability.
John brings decades of whisky industry experience, including his time as Distillery Manager at Balblair, while Liam, founder of tuigsear, brings over six years in the industry and extensive experience hosting private tastings and whisky experiences across the Highlands.
For selected events and larger occasions, both hosts may be involved. Whichever format is arranged, guests can expect the same relaxed, knowledgeable and genuinely personal approach throughout.
Where We Host
We bring the tasting to you, whether that’s in a private lodge, luxury hotel (with prior arrangement), or a comfortable Airbnb. If there’s enough space for everyone to sit and enjoy, we’ll take care of the rest.

For locations outwith our usual operating area, additional fees apply and will be outlined in advance based on the location.
